This book was a great disappointment. I was hoping for something to help me with design ideas and basics on framing roofs. While it does cover a great deal of information on figuring out the many intricacies of complex roof designs and leaves no doubt as to the expertise of the author, this is definitely not a book for beginners/5(58).

User Review - Flag as inappropriate Roof framing made easy: a practical (etc.) It is impractical, if even possible to accurately review, or even read this "book" because it cannot be downloaded, but must be read on line, using something named Google Play, instead of the usual method of reading e-books.

Google Play is IMPRESSIVELY SLOW AND CLUDGEY, and it took several minutes just to get 1/5(1). But this is the only book you need. Everything is explained very well, with a lot of pictures.

And he gives a lot of techniques that can be used. The author himself used to be a production roof cutter, one of the best in the business. Out of all the roof framing books, the only other one I have bought that I plan on keeping is the roof framer's.
